Hello From Lou (Buschelman/McCabe) in Texas

I really enjoyed the posts. And, the pictures.

We drove across Kansas in a blizzard in 1976!!!!!! That was our last time to spend Christmas in Nebraska!!! IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!

Our weather is GREAT. The Blue Bonnets are starting to fade now. I will attempt to post a picture or two.

My friend from Tacoma arrived April 8 and left yesterday, the 22nd. I think I put around 900 miles on my car site seeing around Texas. She got to experience a Texas Thunderstorm!!!! That is probably the only day we stayed home. LOL. Our ventures took us to small towns, antique shops, Painted Churches, Galveston, Austin, Houston, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Gruene (to see the oldest dance hall in Texas), Brenham and.... sorry to say we didn't make it to San Antonio. The day we had planned for SA we got some nasty weather. Fiesta was taking place and we couldn't get any reservations for the following Monday. I miss her already.........
As a reminder....anyone who has downloaded Yahoo Messenger is certainly welcome to join the EGGERSCLAN in a chat every Monday evening...at 9PM. We would love to have you join us.

Time for me to sign off. Love to all...stay well. GOD BLESS AMERICA. Lou

Good Morning,

I have been meaning to do this for quite a while, but I always think tommorrow will do. I opened and saw Larry & Dixie so decided it was time to act. I open this quite often but as I indicated I'm to lazy to contribute. Spring is, I hope, finally arriving in NH. Started work on the yard yesterday, which I dislike more each year, but it has to be done. It has been quiet here, no trips to see the kids who live in TX & NC. Lisa in NC & Jeff in TX. My big project this Spring is to tear down & rebuild the deck. I am debating with myself. Do it,with the help of my younger friends, or have it done. The tear down is no problem, just get out the chain saw have at it. The problems are the ledger board & the basic support structure which require more muscle than I have anymore.

We are hopeing to get to TX this Spring/Summer depending of Jeff's schedule. He will have his girls, who are with there Mother in Alabama, for about 3 to 4 weeks & we would like to see them.

Larry, we had a trip simillar to yours. We were in TN visiting Lisa & there was an ice storm. Came out of the motel & the truck was covered with an inch of ice. We drove on ice all the way through PA on Highway 81. Don't think I ever got over 20 mph. Trucks/cars all over the side of the road, but being stupid I kept going. Made it but like you I qualify.
